The Falcons, who were held to six shots on goal over the final two periods, could not connect on a five-minute power play during overtime. But Ramo stopped five of six Toronto shootout bids and Blatny and Healey scored to give Springfield (8-8-0-0) the decision.
Toronto, which has lost five straight games and fell to 5-9-1-1, outshot Springfield, 35-20.
Toronto pulled even when Ben Ondrus scored during a scramble in front of the net with 5:37 left in regulation. John Mitchell drove a 25-foot slap shot past Ramo with 3:44 remaining in the second period as Toronto sliced Springfield's lead to 2-1.
Stanislav Lacek scored his first AHL goal 2:58 into the second period. Jean Desrochers delivered a centring pass to Lacek in the slot and the rookie one-timed a shot past Racine to provide the Falcons with a 2-0 lead.
Andy Delmore opened the scoring with 11.1 seconds remaining in the first period. His 50-foot shot from the point during a power play eluded Racine as the Falcons grabbed a 1-0 lead.
