Jonathan Toews scored twice on Wednesday, but it was not enough
as Chicago dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime to the San Jose
The Blackhawks were even worse during their last game, enduring
their first shutout of the season, 1-0, against the Anaheim
Ducks on Friday.
Chicago will try to avoid matching its longest losing streak of
the season against the Kings, who bounced back from a pair of
losses during their last contest.
After enduring an overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche and a
setback to the Calgary Flames, Los Angeles rebounded with a 2-1
victory against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
Anze Kopitar netted what stood as the game-winning goal midway
through the second period and added an assist. Patrick
O'Sullivan also recorded a goal and an assist, while Jason
LaBarbera turned aside 22 shots in his first start since
November 1 for the Kings, who had also dropped four of their
previous five contests.
