Macias led all WHL defencemen in scoring with 70 points including 30 goals in 70 games for the Blazers. He finished second on the team in assists, third in points and fourth in goals. He led Kamloops and finished sixth in the WHL in plus-minus with a plus-29 rating.

Hensick, a finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as top U.S. college player, led all scorers in the country with 69 points including 23 goals in 41 games for Michigan.

"We are adding two solid prospects to our organization," said Avalanche GM Francois Giguere. "We look forward to watching T.J. and Ray develop in our system."
