Announcers have to be more creative

I would like to address an epidemic that has swept the NHL.

No, I'm not talking about head shots or post-whistle scrums. I am talking about NHL goaltenders having "no chance" to stop a puck from going in the net.

It seems every time a goal is scored and the goaltender didn't completely blow it, he is deemed by the broadcasters to have had "no chance" to make the save.

The last time I checked, this is the NHL, where goalies are paid to make difficult saves.

As far as I'm concerned, the only time a goalie has "no chance" on a shot is when he has been pulled for the extra attacker. There has to be a better way to express the fact that a shot was tough to stop.
