Sidney Crosby has been cleared for contact in practice, but can’t seem to find anyone in the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup willing to give him that first, but pivotal, hit.

In the face of criticism, it is in the league's best interest to push forward in handing out harsher suspensions rather than cave in to pressure to lighten up.
Having been sequestered for most of the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend in a cottage that didn’t have cable TV or Internet access, the first thing I wanted to do upon arriving home Monday night was check the scores and NHL news.
