Cindy Decario, Burnaby, B.C. When I picked up my copy of THN's Top 100 Players of All-Time by Position I was appalled to see Pat LaFontaine was not on the list.

Pat Moules, Kitchener, Ont. Wake up, Gary Bettman! I'm sorry to offend any diehard Coyotes fans and the NHL brass, but NHL hockey just isn't working in Phoenix.

Karen Lajoie, Yellowknife, N.W.T Do the Oilers not realize that hockey isn't just for the guys anymore? By bringing in scantily-clad female cheerleaders, they're basically telling all of us women who love and support the game that, hey, your money isn't needed around Edmonton.

Sandra Timmons, Ridgeland, Miss. Your Nov. 1 issue moved me for two reasons. First, the beautiful story about Fr. Les Costello. He should be in the Hall of Fame.

Spencer Camus, Summerside, P.E.I. I seriously think NHL teams are making some big mistakes. Signing player to long-term deals can be very risky.

Michael Plourde, Edmundston, N.B. When I see guys like Sheldon Souray and Wade Redden playing in the American League due to cap issues it makes me cringe.

Nick Ahlfeld, Massena, N.Y. I love that the NHL has given microphones to the referees so they can communicate calls to fans at the game and fans watching on TV.
