Hart Stoffman, Lake Echo, N.S. I love the sentiment behind renaming the Lester B. Pearson Award after Ted Lindsay, but it only goes halfway.

Andrew Marett, Vancouver As a fan of the Vancouver Canucks, it is extremely hard to watch Roberto Luongo represent us sometimes. He is a tremendous talent and Vancouver fans owe him greatly for the big saves he usually comes up with, but I find it difficult to stomach the theatrics he often displays.

Thomas Fox, Buffalo Time to say goodbye. Goodbye to coach Lindy Ruff and GM Darcy Regier. It’s time for new voices to be heard in Buffalo.

David Smith, Fort St. John, B.C. This past February I took my son to watch two Predators games in Nashville. Barry Trotz and the entire organization made his visit a special one.

Josh Barr, Flin Flon, Man. Joe Thornton and the rest of San Jose’s first line take way to much heat. If I recall correctly, this is New Jerseys third straight year with a first round exit.

Michael Mezzapelle, Fairmont, W.Va. Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau may be a good hockey coach, but does almost every word that comes out of his mouth during a game have to be a four letter word? It never fails that when I am watching a Caps game on TV with my nine-year-old daughter, the camera shows Boudreau shouting four-letter expletives at the players or officials; and you can read his lips as plain as day.

Kris Parsons, Ottawa, Ont. I just wanted to thank The Hockey news for their excellent cover story in the April 26 issue marking Daniel Alfredsson's 1,000 game.

Kevin Cave, Victoria, B.C. The last time I checked, the guy who loses the election doesn't get to run a third of the country, so how does it make any sense that we're still awarding a point to the loser of a game that always decides a winner? The NHL got lucky this year that Philadelphia managed to clinch the final playoff spot on the last day.

Peter Grecco, Oakville, Ont. Having just watched Detroit score a goal on Phoenix that required reviewing to ensure that it was not a high stick, I was just about to roll my eyes as the referee reached for his microphone to announce the verdict.

Andrew Dryden, Winnipeg, Man. What is going on with the management of NHL arenas? Why are there fans being encouraged to chant "(Insert team) SUCKS!" or whatever the cheer is.

Valerie Muller, Turtleford, Sask. Out in the west, the Coyotes sing the Blues, Predators in the Wild, Kings searching like Sharks for food.

Adam Hardy, Halifax, N.S. I just finished reading Jason Kay's notebook in the April 26 edition about players being booed and happen to be watching the Penguins and Senators play.
