Nolan Tallmadge, Lyndonville, Vt. In your May 10 issue there was an interesting column by Ken Campbell about whether or not goaltending is as big as we think it is in the playoffs.

Josh Rapplean, St. Louis If the NHL wants to honor the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr and Patrick Roy by naming trophies after them, why not create trophies that recognize post-season accomplishments? Currently the Conn Smythe is the only individual trophy awarded for playoff performance.

Bernard J. Bisson, Centennial, Wyo. I would imagine the argument as to who is the all time greatest player will not be settled in my lifetime (I'm 75 years old).

Pat Moules, Kitchener, Ont. Why all the fuss over Taylor Hall and Tyler Seguin? Does anyone realize that Jeff Skinner of the Kitchener Rangers has scored more goals than any player in junior hockey this year? He had 50 goals in 64 regular season games and 20 goals in 20 playoff games.

Dennis Petroni, Leonard, Mich. A recent article appeared in The Hockey News regarding women's Olympic hockey and whether or not it should remain on the agenda.

Matthew Robinson, Mississauga, Ont. I find it amazing how many people can justify saying Ryan Miller deserves both the Hart and the Vezina when there is clearly another goaltender who is more deserving of both honors.

Patricia Lawson, Stittsville, Ont. I was very disappointed to learn that the Lester B. Pearson Award has been renamed. Lester Pearson was a man who believed in settling differences by peaceful means.

Andrew Oliver, La Crescenta, Calif. As a Ducks fans, I was a little intrigued at the recent cover story in the April 26 issue all about the class of Daniel Alfredsson.

Rodd Haltunen, Lake Linden, Mich. It's obvious Alex Ovechkin has changed his game due to his recent suspensions. He's not flying all over the ice delivering the crushing hits like he used to.

Josh Barr, Flin Flon, Man. Voters should be embarrassed for not only overlooking Ryan Miller for the Hart Trophy, but for also nominating Alex Ovechkin.

Steven Penman, Winnipeg, Man. I got a good laugh when Duncan Keith sprayed an obnoxious fan with a Gatorade bottle while sitting in the penalty box, but it raises the question as to why there is a large enough space into the penalty box for a fan to be able to harass him.

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
- Chicago's Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks are 0-3 in Game 3s this playoff.
