Larry Zanni, Calgary As a fan back in the mid-80s, I had a chance to meet Bob Probert. It was after a Canucks game at the old Pacific Coliseum.

Scott Saxton, Lasalle, Ont. I hate the NHL salary cap. I am not a Blackhawks fan, but what is happening to their club frustrates me as a fan.

James Hart, Winnipeg, Man. After being selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers, Taylor Hall is already facing a lot of public pressure to turn the team's fortunes around.

Cassie Cerra, Peckville, Pa. The Flyers improbable run that started with the very last game of the regular season did not end the way they dreamed, but it was still an incredible two months of gritty, determined Flyers hockey.

Tom DiPerna, Denver, Colo. With all due respect to Henrik Sedin, Sidney Crosby deserved to win the Hart Trophy for one reason: goals. While assists are an important part of hockey, it is the goals that ultimately decide who wins and who loses games.

Greg Wall, Carnduff, Sask. After watching the NHL awards, I must say I'm insulted! There were endless insults and jokes towards Canadians! I found no humor in that.

Philip Wachowich, Calgary Thank you, Scott Niedermayer. Thank you for your never-lose-hope career and your great sportsmanship on and off the ice.

John McCormack, Ottawa If Pat Burns does not deserve to be an exception for immediate induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, then those who have made that decision have long forgotten the rules once taught to them on the outdoor rinks: fairness, compassion, team work and the true honor of our game.

Tim Wesley, Cranberry Township, Pa. There is no better sport than hockey and there is no better hockey than in the NHL playoffs. Even so, playoff hockey could be better if the officiating were more consistent.

Lucas Zayonc, Delta, B.C. It has been said that “The good ol’ hockey game is the best game you can name,” and to most Canadians this is quite an accurate description.

Dave Dickie, 100 Mile House, B.C. The NHL playoffs this year was some of the best NHL hockey I have seen, but being from western Canada and a NHL hockey fan for as long as I can remember, it really ticks me off when the NHL schedules afternoon playoff games.

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
- Chicago's Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks are 0-3 in Game 3s this playoff.
