Rangers GM Glen Sather put in an 11th-hour offer for Rick Nash, but couldn't get Columbus to bite.
This year's NHL trade deadline was notable for three factors: a lack of deals involving big-name talent, a decline in the number of trades for the second straight year and several deals which were actual “hockey trades” – the swap of NHL players – among the usual salary-dumping moves.
