Have something you'd like to know about the NHL or have something to say about what The Hockey News has written? Every Friday, columnist Adam Proteau will respond to your emails in The Hockey News.com's mailbag feature.

In this week's mailbag: Grading the Wild... Will Ovie get his comeuppance?... and who will win the Art Ross.
Greetings once again from THN’s maestro of mailbaggage.
Flummoxed because you don’t see your question here – or because you’re uncertain what flummoxed means? Can’t help you on the latter problem, but I can suggest you check the AA feature in The Hockey News magazine and listen to The Hockey News Radio Show on XM Home Ice 204 to see if I used it there.

In the mailbag: the future of the Canadiens... thoughts on Brendan Burke... support for Theo... Ovie's punishment... and more.
A belated happy Thanksgiving to our American cousins.
So many great questions this week and not enough space to answer them all: my apologies to those who don’t see their inquiry here.

In the mailbag this week: Who's your all-time team?... Why doesn't Canada ice two Olympic entries? And more.
I got an Ask Adam question this week from a woman congratulating me on being hired as Panthers assistant coach and wishing me good luck in being inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame.

In the mailbag, Adam answers your questions on: Tim Thomas, meeting players at the ACC, playing on holidays, and more.
It’s Friday the 13th! Oooga Booga Booga and all that jazz. Here’s your weekly batch of Qs and As.
Adam, If Tim Thomas got injured, what will the situation look like for the Bruins?
Larry Finger, Lenox, Iowa
Larry,
Without Thomas’ heroics between Boston’s pipes, the Bruins would be a combination of The Chevy Chase Show, New Coke and the second incarnation of the WHA.

In the mailbag: Liambas suspension?... Where will Atlanta and Florida go?... Germany's goalie?... and more.
It’s Hockey Hall of Fame weekend here in THN Headquarters Land – and we’re looking forward to seeing all five hockey-lifers take their place as honored members.
by Adam Proteau - October 30, 2009 1:07 PM EDT
Adam answers your questions on the shootout, NHLers in movies and the direction of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In the Ask Adam mailbag system, the process is represented by two separate, yet equally important groups: the readers, who ask questions, and the writer, who answers them.

In the mailbag: line matching on TV... NHL back in Quebec City?... Habs getting the shaft?... and more.
We received some great questions this week, so we’ll have to keep the answers relatively short.
Adam, in order to get causal viewers more involved in watching the sport, I propose that TSN, Versus, NBC and the like add a box under the score that lets you know which line is on the ice.
by Adam Proteau - October 16, 2009 12:35 PM EDT
In the mailbag: Is Tavares the real deal?... Bettman in HHOF?... Home whites?... Homegrown talent?... and more.
Next week’s mailbag will be composed by the author in a runaway silver helium balloon garage attic. Keep sending (or floating) your inquiries in to the usual location and we’ll keep aiming for new hoaxes heights.
by Adam Proteau - October 9, 2009 1:55 PM EDT
In the mailbag: Does Calgary's success feel good?... Thoughts on Theo?... Award picks?... And more.
We’ll get to this week’s mail momentarily, but since I’ve begun mentioning it in other places, I might as well mention to AA readers that the book I edited and co-wrote, Puck Funnies: Hockey Humor, Hilarity and Hi-Jinx, will be hitting virtual and actual book stores in the very near future.
by Adam Proteau - October 2, 2009 1:35 PM EDT
In the mailbag: Sundin in the HHOF... Drury duty... Hossa's Cup chances... Tampa's point man... and more.
If it wasn’t enjoyable enough being at the first game of the NHL season – between two Original Six rivals, no less – it got a whole lot better for your faithful question-taker-and-answerer when he checked out the press box seating arrangement and realized he’d be watching the game beside none other than CBC play-by-play legend Bob Cole.

Will Gaborik shine on Broadway? Who should go No. 1 in a pool? Is Gretzky a good coach?
It’s a bittersweet time for Canadians today – not because Wayne Gretzky has left the Phoenix Coyotes (more on that later in the mailbag), but because today marks the release of the final chapter of the Trailer Park Boys saga.
by Adam Proteau - September 18, 2009 1:15 PM EDT
In the mailbag: What can the Hawks do to get out of their Cap mess?... Olympic impact?... Buffalo Balsillie?... and more.
Before ye olde mailbag doth commence for another week, a little Ask Adam question-writing tip for the day. Did you know the word “that” is almost always utterly superfluous? Rampant overuse of “that” drives me and THN senior special sections editor Brian Costello absolutely batty.

"Probably not. Their depth and our play right now...it doesn't look too good."
