The way the CBA was designed in 2005, initial reactions were that there would be fewer teenagers in the league, but that hasn't been the case.
When the new collective bargaining agreement was ratified in the summer of 2005 and the NHL was set to resume play, there was understandable elation on the part of all hockey fans.
