The Big Bad Bears from Boston keep the No. 1 spot while the Avalanche continue to fall.

Without a regulation loss at home, San Jose remains the team to beat, while Florida inches toward a playoff position.

The Sharks keep the top spot, but Edmonton and their three-goalie system are making noise.
Two-headed monsters have been spotted in the NHL before, but three-headed beasts are extremely rare. There is, however, one on the loose in northern Alberta right now as the Edmonton Oilers have sent all three of their goalies to the crease for at least one start since Nov.

In our weekly ranking of teams, the Sharks are still at the peak, while the underdog Islanders are being led by their backup.
The name Joey somehow seems appropriate for a scrappy underdog, which is exactly what New York Islanders goalie Joey MacDonald is proving to be.

THN's top three remains the same, but the surprising Blue Jackets are finally headed in the right direction.
Life as a hockey fan in Ohio has typically brought more lows than highs. And, thus far, it has never involved a playoff game. But this year’s version of the Columbus Blue Jackets is doing its best to change things and a pair of rookies are playing a huge role.

San Jose is back on top of our weekly rundown of the NHL teams, but Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals are making a big push.
You can feel things heating up in the American capital. After a very ho-hum start, the Washington Capitals are coming to life. Everybody knows Alex Ovechkin got off to a horrid start – and those same people had to know it couldn’t last.

The Power Rankings have the defending champs on top, but the Leafs make a move on the back of Mikhail Grabovski.
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ positive, pesky play has caught many people off guard, including this scribe. Mikhail Grabovski’s early-season success, however, has not.

With two lines flying high, the Calgary Flames take a jump in the rankings and a new team takes over top spot.
Hands up if you thought Todd Bertuzzi would have more goals than Jarome Iginla at any point this season. Through 12 games with his new team, Bertuzzi had seven goals, one more than Iginla’s six.

The Red Wings remain on top, but San Jose's dominating play has them nipping at their heels.
There’s probably never been a backup goalie more synonymous with shutouts than Brian Boucher. The Sharks stopper has two starts this year and has yet to feel the red light burn behind him.
