The Ontario Junior Hockey League has undergone major contraction in the past few years, which has made junior A hockey relevant again in the province. Players who do not want to forfeit their NCAA eligibility once again have a top tier league to further develop in before moving on to the collegiate circuit.

The Owen Sound Attack are off to a fantastic start this season and one of the reasons for their early success is second-year defenseman Chris Bigras.
