Even if players see a reduction in their percentage of revenues, which is all but assured, their salaries will still rise in the end.
Who will be the winners in the current collective bargaining agreement negotiations? The players will win. In professional sports, the players’ salaries always rise, regardless of the CBA.

Ever since they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, the Chicago Blackhawks have been recovering from the salary-cap-induced sell-off that occurred shortly after. Despite a high-powered offense and respectable defense, the Philadelphia Flyers were let down by goalie Ilya Bryzgalov in the post-season. The only reason Philadelphia got to Round 2 was because Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury was even worse.
