In our weekly rundown of players we can't wait to see in the NHL one day, we feature Colin Jacobs of the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The last group of prospects to hit the ice this season are American high-schoolers and though the Minnesotans don’t get it going until the end of the month, the kids have already cut their teeth in the fall’s Upper Midwest Elite League and last weekend’s Bauer NIT.

The OHL's first overall pick in 2009 had a decent rookie season, but is hoping to pile up the points this time around.
Is it too early to talk about the 2011 draft? Never! And though there is a lot of time for players to rise and fall, scouting books are already being filled up on players such as Sean Couturier, Adam Larsson and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

There were surprises aplenty at the NHL draft on the weekend and with them came a lot of good value picks. For kids who dropped, they can at least take solace in the fact that when they become NHL stars, folks will constantly crow about how their team could have snapped up such a hot talent earlier.
