The 23-year-old center scored his 30th goal of the season with a slap shot from deep inside the blue line to tie things up against Tampa Bay in the first period.
Seguin scored again in the second frame to tie things up at 2-2, but Tampa Bay came back in the third period to win 5-4. In 56 games this season, Seguin has amassed 31 goals, 30 assists for 61 points for the Stars, good for second place in team scoring behind Jamie Benn.
It’s the second time in his young career that he has hit the 30 goal mark. In the 2013-14 season – his first with the Stars – he scored 37 goals and 84 points in 80 games.
However, Seguin’s return may have come a little too late for the Stars, who currently sit 10 points out of a wild-card position in the Western Conference with just 16 games remaining.
