Tampa’s Ben Bishop is Brock Lesnar, hits huge suplex on Chicago’s Ben Smith

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop was getting a bit fed up with the Chicago Blackhawks getting close to his crease, so he decided to take matters into his own hands with a perfectly executed WWE-inspired maneuver.

During Tuesday night’s game in Chicago, Tampa Bay’s Ben Bishop was having a bit of trouble with Blackhawks around his crease.

After feeling he was interfered with during Chicago’s first goal – his own defenseman, Anton Stralman, had pushed Blackhawks’ winger Kris Versteeg into the netminder – he was clearly fed up. So, in true wrestling fashion, Bishop made sure to take matters into his own hands when the Chicago’s Ben Smith got in his kitchen:

At 6-foot-7 and 215 pounds, it’s safe to say that Bishop is likely one of the stronger goaltenders out there. And even in his butterfly, Bishop is nearly as tall as the 5-foot-11 Smith. He's like the Undertaker on skates.

You’ve got to give the 27-year-old Bishop credit on this one. With the Blackhawks buzzing, he killed the attack with a perfectly placed suplex and got his squad a power play out of the deal.

The strength, the execution, the sell – Bishop had it all. If this hockey thing doesn’t work out, Bishop might have a shot at making it to Wrestlemania. Forwards, be warned – if you enter Ben Bishop’s crease, he’s going to bring the pain.
