On a night where Douglas Murray certainly got himself in trouble for hurting Mike Kostka, there was another incident for the NHL’s discipline department to review. Vancouver pest Alexandre Burrows was given a five-minute elbowing penalty plus a game misconduct for the following wallop on New York’s Ryan McDonagh:
McDonagh left the game and was seen with his arm in a sling afterwards, though the initial reports said he was not seriously injured. The talented blueliner has been one of the Rangers’ best players this season and some have even talked about Norris Trophy consideration.
Now, a player’s skill shouldn’t determine whether or not a play is suspendable, but what do you think: Should Burrows miss any games (and if so, how many) for this elbow?
