McDonald’s is set to introduce a brand new burger in Quebec named after Montreal Canadiens star Max Pacioretty. The burger, called the “Max 67,” is slated to hit menus this week.

While the hockey world may have their eyes on Ottawa’s ‘Hamburglar,’

Andrew Hammond, McDonald’s is looking to Montreal Canadiens sniper

Max Pacioretty to create the next big thing in fast food. Pacioretty’s McDonald’s debut comes in the form of the special “Max 67” burger. The burger includes an Angus beef patty, bacon bits, tri-color nachos, cheese, tomato, and onion and is topped with a nacho sauce. It’s not clear how much influence Pacioretty himself had on the process, but if this was his idea, it doesn’t sound like an entirely terrible creation.

The burger will be released in Quebec restaurants this week. Thanks to reddit user /u/FishNLove, who has since deleted his or her account, there’s a

first look at the sandwich available online and the full assembly guide in case you want to make a knock-off version at home.

The alleged 790-calorie monster is a limited-time offer and will only be available in stores until April 20, according to the photos released.

Pacioretty isn’t the first Canadiens player to get his name on a burger with the fast food giant, though. And he’s not even the first one on the current roster.

Brendan Gallagher

created “The Gallagher,” which, like Pacioretty’s burger, was a Quebec exclusive and came with three beef patties, one and a half slices of cheese and, “a hearty helping of bacon.” And former Canadien

Daniel Briere

had the Briere BLT, which was essentially a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich on top of a cheeseburger. The release of the “Max 67” signals more in what has been a big year for hockey players-turned-menu items. You may recall in December

T.J. Oshie’s “Oshie O’s” hit shelves. The cereal, which is really just Cheerios in a different box, even has

its own website. And, of course,

let’s not forget Marzipan Jagr. Who knows, if this sandwich is a hit, maybe there’s a fast food joint called “Max Pacioretty’s” in the offing. Pacioretty has been good at beating defenders throughout his career, so maybe he can sneak by Tim Horton and make it big in the restaurant business.
