The Minnesota Wild goaltender has fought the disease since his diagnosis in November of 2012 and now he's getting some help from Upper Deck as he tries to inspire and raise money.
Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding has not been taking his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis lying down since his affliction was announced in late 2012. He won the Bill Masterton Trophy in 2013 for perseverance and played stellar last season in 29 appearances before complications kept him on the sidelines. Now, he's getting special hockey cards to help others battling MS.
Upper Deck has announced that 25 Josh Harding "Heroic Inspiration" cards will be inserted into packs of its new O-Pee-Chee set this season, with each one signed by the Wild netminder and inscribed with the message "My inspiration is my father." On top of those special inserts, other versions of the card with different messages written by Harding (and also autographed) will be available at the start of the season with a donation to the Harding's Hope
