After boarding Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki from behind Sunday afternoon, Hurricanes right winger Kevin Westgarth more than likely has a date with the NHL department of player safety in his immediate future.

Borowiecki was attempting to get up from the ice after having lost an edge when Westgarth barrels into him, sending him headfirst into the boards.

Borowiecki left the game with a neck strain and did not return. Now in his fourth NHL season, the 29-year-old Westgarth has never been suspended.

Do you think Westgarth deserves to be suspended?
