Sharks sign former Bowling Green forward Ryan Carpenter

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks signed unrestricted free-agent forward Ryan Carpenter to an entry-level contract Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Carpenter, from Oviedo, Fla., had eight goals and eight assists in 15 games this season for Bowling Green. He had 37 goals and 42 assists in 100 games in three seasons for the Falcons

Carpenter will report to Worcester of the American Hockey League.
