Vancouver Canucks players forced to hail cabs to rink after team bus breaks down

WASHINGTON - Things just seem to go from bad to worse for the Vancouver Canucks.

On Friday, the team's bus broke down on the way to the Verizon Center, where the Canucks were scheduled to face the Washington Capitals.

That forced the Canucks players to hail cabs in order to get to the arena.

Earlier in the day, the Canucks learned that forward Ryan Kesler is out for two weeks with a knee injury sustained in the club's 3-2 shootout win over Winnipeg on Wednesday.

That snapped a woeful seven-game road skid for Vancouver (30-28-10), which has lost four straight and nine-of-10 against Washington (30-27-10).
