Seguin back in Stars' lineup after missing two games due to a concussion

TORONTO - Tyler Seguin has returned to the Dallas Stars' lineup after a two-game absence with a concussion.

Seguin was back in his old spot as the top-line centre between Jamie Benn and Rich Peverley against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He had missed games earlier this week against the Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks.

Seguin was not available to speak to reporters after the Stars' morning skate Thursday because a team spokesman said he had to undergo concussion tests. The club announced during pre-game warmups that he was cleared to play.

"It's encouraging he felt good yesterday, he felt good this morning," coach Lindy Ruff said.

Seguin has 12 goals and 11 assists in 24 games for the Stars since they acquired him in an off-season trade with the Boston Bruins.

"It means a lot," Benn said earlier in the day of the possibility of Seguin returning. "Obviously he's a big part of this team.

"He's an exciting player, plays the game really well. It'll be nice to have him back tonight if all goes well."
