Hurricanes activate G Cam Ward from injured reserve, say he's eligible to play vs Boston

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina Hurricanes have activated goalie Cam Ward from injured reserve.

The Hurricanes announced the move before Monday night's game against Boston, and say Ward is eligible to play against the Bruins.

Carolina also sent goalie Mike Murphy back to its AHL affiliate in Charlotte.

Ward missed 10 games after suffering an unspecified lower-body injury in the first period of a loss at Minnesota on Oct. 24.
