Canadiens send forwards Leblanc, St. Pierre to AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have assigned forwards Louis Leblanc and Martin St. Pierre to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Leblanc, 22, has appeared in five games with the Canadiens this season, recording no points and two penalty minutes. In seven games with Hamilton this season, he has recorded six points (four goals, two assists) and six penalty minutes.

Before being recalled to Montreal, Leblanc had registered six points (four goals, two assists) on a three-game point streak with Hamilton.

The native of Pointe-Claire, Que., had 10 goals, eight assists and 53 penalty minutes in 62 games with Hamilton last season.

St. Pierre, 30, has appeared in one game with Montreal this season.

In seven games with Hamilton, the Ottawa native has recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) and 12 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs captain is currently tied for the team lead in points with defenceman Magnus Nygren. Before being recalled to Montreal, he had registered eight points (three goals, five assists) on a six-game point streak.
