MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have sent defenceman Jarred Tinordi to the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs.

Tinordi has appeared in six games with Montreal this season, recording no points and nine penalty minutes.

The 21-year-old split last season between Montreal and Hamilton, where the six-foot-six, 227-pound defenceman shared top defenceman honours on the Bulldogs with Nathan Beaulieu.

In 67 regular-season games with Hamilton, the Millersville, Md., native recorded 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) and 71 penalty minutes.

In eight regular-season games with Montreal, he recorded two assists and two penalty minutes. He added one assist and 15 penalty minutes in five playoff games.

Tinordi was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
