Frederick Gauthier came one step closer to his goal of playing in the NHL this past June when he was selected 21st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gauthier has the size and skill to succeed at the NHL level, but the 18-year-old knows he still has a long road before reaching his objective.
The most recent stop on that journey was at Canada’s world junior evaluation camp in Lake Placid, N.Y.
THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with Gauthier at the camp to discuss his niche with Team Canada, what he took away from Leafs camp and more.
