Most pundits predicted the New York Islanders would miss the post-season once again in 2013. But as April draws to a close, they are on the verge of clinching a playoff berth for the first time since 2007.
 
But as THN’s Ken Campbell points out, it has been much longer since the team has had any success playing in the second season.
