NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Matt D'Agostini and a conditional seventh-round selection in 2015 from the St. Louis Blues for a conditional fifth-round choice in the same draft.
Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello announced the deal for the 26-year-old D'Agostini on Friday. He had a goal and an assist in 16 games with St. Louis this season.
D'Agostini started the season in Germany. He has 45 goals and 46 assists in 254 regular-season games. His best season was in 2010-11 when he had 21 goals and 46 points in 82 games.
A native of Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario, D'Agostini was drafted by Montreal in 2005 and played four seasons with the Canadiens before being dealt to St. Louis in March 2010.
