Canadiens call up six-foot-six defenceman Jarred Tinordi from Hamilton

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have called up defenceman Jarred Tinordi from the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs.

Tinordi will join the Canadiens at their practice facility in Brossard, Que., for their Friday morning practice ahead of the team's Saturday night game against the Devils in New Jersey.

The six-foot-six defenceman from Burnsville, Minn., has two goals, nine assists and 55 penalty minutes in 55 games with the Bulldogs in his first professional season.

Last season he served as captain as the London Knights won the Ontario Hockey League championship.
