Wild's Zucker injured after being elbowed in head by Ducks' Perry

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker was helped off the ice after he was elbowed in the head by Anaheim's Corey Perry in the second period of the Ducks' 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.

Perry dipped his shoulder and threw an elbow at Zucker's head, sending him crashing into the corner boards. Zucker stayed down on the ice for about five minutes as he was helped by trainers.

Perry was given a major penalty for interference and was ejected.

Wild coach Mike Yeo said he didn't see a replay of the hit enough times to comment on it.

"You never like seeing one of your players getting hit like that," he said.

Yeo said he didn't have an update on Zucker's condition.
