BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller has a sinus infection, meaning backup Jhonas Enroth will start against the New York Rangers.
Interim coach Ron Rolston provided the update after Miller missed the pre-game skate Tuesday morning. Miller is healthy enough to serve in a backup role.
It's the second start in three games for Enroth. He allowed two goals in a 3-2 shootout loss at New Jersey on Thursday. Enroth, however, was unable to finish the game after his right leg cramped in the final minutes of the third period.
Enroth is 0-2-0 in four games this season, and 0-9-3 in his past 16 appearances. He hasn't won since a 5-1 victory over Washington on Nov. 26, 2011.
Buffalo (9-14-3) is 0-2-2 in its past four games.
