LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin scored less than 2 minutes apart in the third period and the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied past the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 on Monday night.

Chris Kunitz added his 12th of the season for Pittsburgh and James Neal scored an empty-net goal in the final minute as the Penguins sent the struggling Lightning to their fifth straight loss.

Malkin, making his return after missing four games due to a concussion, tied it 5:38 into the third period on a pretty breakaway. Crosby put Pittsburgh in front moments later with a slap shot from the slot that zipped past Anders Lindback and into the net.

Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos scored twice to push his league-leading total to 17, but it wasn't enough to stop the Lightning's slide.

Maple Leafs 4, Devils 2

TORONTO (AP)—Nazem Kadri continued his points streak Monday with a goal and an assist against the struggling Devils.

Clarke MacArthur, Jay McClement and Phil Kessel—with his first goal on home ice this season—scored in the third period for Toronto. Kadri connected in the first period and assisted on MacArthur's goal to earn points in his fifth straight game.

The 22-year-old Kadri leads the Leafs with 23 points in 23 games.

James Reimer, making his first appearance at Air Canada Centre since Feb. 11 after a mild knee ligament strain, made 28 saves for the win.

Marek Zidlicky scored twice for New Jersey, which hasn't won in five games. Ryan Carter assisted on both goals and Johan Hedberg stopped 19 shots for the Devils.

Coyotes 5, Ducks 4, SO

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP)—Defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored in the fifth round of the shootout and Mike Smith stopped Bobby Ryan to help Phoenix .

Andrew Vermette, Shane Doan, Michael Stone and Keith Yandle scored for the Coyotes in regulation. Phoenix also beat the Pacific Division-leading Ducks 5-4 in a shootout Saturday night.

Steve Sullivan also scored in the shootout for Phoenix, which has won three of four.

Ryan Getzlaf had a goal, two assists and scored in the shootout, and Ryan, Corey Perry and Matt Beleskey scored for the Ducks, who have lost consecutive games for the first time this season.

The teams traded four goals over a six-minute stretch of the third period.

Kings 5, Predators 1

Jeff Carter completed his fifth career hat trick with two goals in a 19-second span of the third period, and the Kings beat the Predators despite taking only 16 shots on net.

Jonathan Bernier made 18 saves and has won five consecutive starts for the first time in his NHL career, equaling his entire win total from last season in 16 games. The five-year veteran didn't play at all during the Kings' Stanley Cup championship run as Jonathan Quick captured the Conn Smythe Trophy as post-season MVP.

Mike Richards and Dwight King also scored during a four-goal third period and defenceman Slava Voynov had a career-high three assists.
