Blue Jackets recall D Goloubef from AHL affiliate, reassign F Collins to Springfield

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenceman Cody Goloubef from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass, and have reassigned forward Sean Collins to the same club.

The 23-year-old Goloubef scored his first career NHL goal in a 6-2 home win over San Jose on Feb. 11. He played in five games with the Blue Jackets.

The 24-year-old Collins was scoreless in two games with Columbus after being called up, making his NHL debut on Feb. 18 at Anaheim.

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
