Columbus Blue Jackets activate Atkinson, put Dubinsky on IR, send Drazenovic to AHL

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets activated right wing Cam Atkinson off injured reserve, put forward Brandon Dubinsky on the injured list and reassigned centre Nick Drazenovic to Springfield, Mass., of the American Hockey League.

Atkinson had a goal in three games before sustaining a high ankle sprain against Phoenix Jan. 23 that caused him to miss the past 13 games. In 30 career NHL games, Atkinson has eight goals and seven assists with the Blue Jackets.

Dubinsky, part of the blockbuster deal that sent Rick Nash to the New York Rangers last summer, is out with a knee injury.

Drazenovic, called up to reinforce the injury-hampered Blue Jackets, was scoreless in two games with Columbus.
