Stars send Tom Wandell on rehab assignment, recall Jordie Benn, Matt Fraser from AHL affiliate

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars have sent forward Tom Wandell on a conditioning assignment to Texas of the American Hockey League and recalled defenceman Jordie Benn and forward Matt Fraser.

Wandell has played in seven games for Dallas this season, recording four penalty minutes with nine shots.

Benn has appeared in 40 games for the Texas Stars and has 11 career NHL appearances, eight of them this season. He last skated for Dallas on Feb. 1.

Fraser is tied for third in the AHL with 24 goals and has appeared in 51 games for Texas this season. He played his first career NHL game Jan. 24 against Anaheim.

Forward Tomas Vincour was also assigned to Texas. He has a goal in eight games with Dallas this season.
