COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenceman Adrian Aucoin off of injured reserve after he missed the last six games with a lower-body injury.
The 39-year-old Aucoin was signed as an unrestricted free agent this past summer.
He has appeared in 1,079 career NHL games with Vancouver (341), Tampa Bay (26), the New York Islanders (235), Chicago (92), Calgary (157), Phoenix (221) and Columbus (7). Aucoin ranks 12th among all active NHL blueliners with 395 career points (121 goals).
A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Aucoin won a silver medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics after spending two seasons (1992-94) with the Canadian National Team and has appeared in 62 career Stanley Cup playoff games (6 goals, 15 assists).
