Karl Alzner comes into his fifth year of NHL action having not missed a single game since the 2009-10 regular season. The fifth overall pick in 2007 set career highs in both assists (16) and points (17) last season and hopes he can continue to grow as a defender with the Capitals.
THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the 24-year-old Burnaby, B.C. native to discuss what he did during the lockout to stay NHL ready, adapting to new head coach Adam Oates and more.
