Sharks sign free agent centre Scott Gomez to one-year deal

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks have signed free agent centre Scott Gomez to a one-year deal.

Terms of the deal announced Wednesday were not released.

Gomez, a 12-year NHL veteran and two-time All-Star, had two goals and nine assists in 38 games with Montreal last season. He spent 11 games with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL this season, recording six goals and seven assists.
