Blackhawks acquire goalie Karlsson from Calgary in exchange for seventh-round draft pick

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired goalie Henrik Karlsson from the Calgary Flames for a seventh-round draft pick in this year's entry draft.

The trade was announced Monday. The Blackhawks assigned Karlsson to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

He appeared in 26 games with the Flames over the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, posting a 5-9-8 record with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.

The Blackhawks had acquired that seventh-round pick from the Ottawa Senators for Rob Klinkhammer on Dec. 2, 2011.
