Status: Syracuse Crunch goaltender.

DOB: Sept. 16, 1989 In: Humboldt, Sask.

Ht:
5-foot-11 Wt: 198 pounds

First Hockey Memory: "Oh boy, playing for the Watson Rockets in the hometown, playing there and enjoying every minute of that."

Hockey Inspirations: "My family, my dad was a goalie, grandpa was, couple of uncles. They helped me out, it's just fun to be a goalie and successful and take pointers from them."

First NHL Sweater:
"I had an Edmonton Oilers jersey with my own name put on it and No. 1...I can't remember if it was a Jets or Oilers jersey now. I've had so many hockey jerseys and stuff. Right now it's pretty hard to remember when and where I got each one."

Current Car: "Dodge truck (black)."

Greatest Sports Moment: "Oh boy, NHL win. First NHL win has gotta be up there."

Most Painful Moment: "Losing or injury, which one is most painful...I guess most painful was not being able to be in camp last year. Being injured and just having to watch camp. Watch guys do well and be on the sidelines was pretty tough."

Favorite Uniforms: "I like Tampa. I really do."

First Car: "1973 Plymouth Duster (red)."

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "Probably a good amount of them...maybe WHL playoffs overtime, I passed the puck right to one of their guys right in the slot for a tap-in. That's pretty embarrassing."

Closest Hockey Friends: "Mitch Wahl, my buddy, he was drafted to the Flames, played three years of junior with him in Spokane and yeah, great guy."

Funniest Players Encountered: "Eric Nielson is up there. He's a funny guy and a great team guy."

First Famous Hockey Player You Met Or Encountered: "My first NHL game was Ducks and Buffalo in Disneyland. So I think, if I remember right, I tried to get an autograph from someone on those teams, I can't remember though."

Strangest Game: "Two years ago I got a skate in the throat, 26 stitches. That was pretty weird, pretty strange, to me. Left the game, first time in a long time I ever left a game with an injury.”

Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: "Golf."

Favorite Players To Watch: "Pretty lucky to watch St-Louis and Stamkos last year, so I'll say them."

Funny Hockey Memory: "Oh boy, oh yeah, so many I can't think of one. I know I'm not a good interview right now (smiles)...I remember a lot of times the guys put tape on my skates going out to practice and you go out there and you step out and you fall. Sorry, I'd try to give you a better one than that, I'm just going blank right now."

Last Book Read: "I don't read many books, but I did just read one - Hells Angel book, can't remember the name of it though." (Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club)

Personality Qualities Most Admired:
"Just honest. Happy. Fun going."
