VIDEO: 30 teams in 30 days - Chicago Blackhawks

Zoom Image

Ever since they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, the Chicago Blackhawks have been recovering from the salary-cap-induced sell-off that occurred shortly after. But at least they've continued as a playoff team, notching 101 points a season ago, good enough for sixth in the West.

The problem is, they haven't won a series since raising their most recent banner. There have been issues with goaltending and quality roster depth that GM Stan Bowman has tried to address, but where there are shortfalls, the Blackhawks make up for in their star power with players such as Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith.

Today's Puck Panel looks at the Blackhawks and explains why THN slotted them in for further improvement this season and predicted them to finish No. 4 in the West.

Who will win Game 3 of the Rangers-Bruins series?

"We're playing the defending champs and you can tell they're not going to beat themselves. That team, just from them going all the way, you can see it over there. There's no panic…You can tell that's a machine over there and we've got to be at our best."

- San Jose's Scott Gomez on the Los Angeles Kings. Los Angeles leads the series 2-1.
