Ever since they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, the Chicago Blackhawks have been recovering from the salary-cap-induced sell-off that occurred shortly after. But at least they've continued as a playoff team, notching 101 points a season ago, good enough for sixth in the West.
The problem is, they haven't won a series since raising their most recent banner. There have been issues with goaltending and quality roster depth that GM Stan Bowman has tried to address, but where there are shortfalls, the Blackhawks make up for in their star power with players such as Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith.
Today's Puck Panel looks at the Blackhawks and explains why THN slotted them in for further improvement this season and predicted them to finish No. 4 in the West.
