Being selected 20th overall at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft was exciting enough for Beau Bennett, but the California native had the added thrill of being drafted in his home state, as Los Angeles hosted.
Two years removed from his draft year Bennett will get his first taste of pro hockey this season after an injury plagued collegiate career at the University of Denver. Ryan Kennedy caught up with Bennett at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Toronto to discuss his upcoming season, hockey in the Golden State and more.
