Scott Laughton wasn't the most flashy prospect taken in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, but the Philadelphia Flyers were impressed by his responsible play in the defensive zone and staunch work ethic. The two-way center has even earned comparisons to former Flyers forward Mike Richards.

Laughton will likely return to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario League this season and has a legitimate chance of playing for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship in Russia.

THN's Ryan Kennedy had the chance to talk with Laughton at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase.
