Vancouver Canucks sign right-winger Guillaume Desbiens

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks signed of right-winger Guillaume Desbiens on Monday.

The 27-year-old has played in 23 NHL games with the Canucks and the Calgary Flames, collecting 37 penalty minutes.

Desbiens split last season with the Flames and the AHL's Abbotsford Heat.

Desbiens registered 14 points and 114 penalty minutes in 59 games with the Heat and 25 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Flames.

The Alma, Que., native was originally selected by the Atlanta Thrashers 116th overall in the 2003 NHL draft.
