Dallas Stars sign 1-year contract with defenceman Jordie Benn

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars signed Jordie Benn to a one-year contract Wednesday. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The 24-year-old Benn, the older brother of Stars forward Jamie Benn, had two assists in three games for Dallas last season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenceman had nine goals and 23 assists last two season with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League.
