SYLVAN LAKE, Alta. - Thousands of fans turned out in a small town in central Alberta to see the Stanley Cup.
Colin Fraser, who plays for the Los Angeles Kings, showed off the trophy he and his team won this year to fans in Sylvan Lake, about 160 kilometres south of Edmonton.
Fraser says he was overwhelmed with the turnout.
The 27-year-old has called Sylvan Lake his off-season home since moving to central Alberta to play for the WHL Red Deer Rebels ten years ago.
Fraser won his first Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks two years ago.
