Anaheim Ducks sign Swedish 1st-round pick Hampus Lindholm to 3-year deal

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have signed first-round pick Hampus Lindholm to a three-year entry-level contract.

The Ducks announced the deal Friday with the Swedish defenceman.

The 18-year-old Lindholm was the sixth overall pick in last month's draft. He finished last season with Rogle BK, helping the club earn promotion to the Swedish Elite League.

Lindholm has another season left on his contract with Rogle BK, but is expected to attend training camp in Anaheim in September.

All things considered, how would you rate this NHL season?

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
